Maracas Belido

The flat black shapes of the Maracas Belido are pretty as well as effective in producing a beautiful sound. 

A beautiful traditional instrument made from Bamboo, the Belido is a percussion instrument known as an idiophone, meaning it makes sounds by being shaken and jiggled.

These simply made instruments are sometimes made to be attached to the ankles of dancers to make sounds during ceremonial dances.
They are easy for small hands to hold while encouraging rhythm, counting and having fun.
